Ulrich Deichmann’s journey in the industry began in 1986, when he co-founded Stema Engineering. There, he helped introduce some of the first automatic stirrup machines operating directly from coil, marking a breakthrough in rebar processing.
In 1997, he played a key role in forming Stema/Pedax Denmark, which went on to become one of the world’s leading rebar machine manufacturers.
Driven by a passion for innovation and integrity, Ulrich founded GMT in 2010, focusing on refurbished and second-hand rebar machinery that combine technical excellence, trust, and customer-focused service.
In 2020, his vision for smarter automation led to the creation of GMT Robotics, expanding GMT’s reach into robotics and advanced manufacturing technologies.
With over three decades of industry experience, Ulrich is widely recognized as a trusted authority in rebar machinery. His practical insight, technical depth, and fair-minded leadership continue to define GMT’s reputation for quality and reliability.
